Adding a two inch hitch receiver to the back of your Ford Edge is gonna allow you to do a couple different things. You can add cargo carriers to the back of it to be able to get some of that gear outta your vehicle and onto the carrier. You can use it for bike racks if you wanna haul bikes to and from the trail, or if you wanna tow a trailer, I recommend definitely putting the wiring on while you're doing the hitch so that you always have the wiring there if you decide to pull a trailer. more

Hey everyone, how's it going Today we're gonna be going over and showing you how to install the etrailer, trailer hitch receiver here on a 2017 Ford Edge. So this is what our trailer hitch is gonna look like installed on our vehicle here. Now the entire trailer hitch has a matte black powder coated finish, which if you ask me blends in really nicely with the underbody paneling on the vehicle here really doesn't stick out much at all. In addition to the aesthetics it's also gonna provide us with some protection because it's protecting our hitch from rust. So adding a trailer hitch to your Edge it's gonna be an excellent option because it's gonna make your vehicle that much more versatile. Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're going to be going over and showing you how to install the Curt Class Three Trailer Hitch here on our 2019 Ford Edge. So this is what our trailer hitch is going to look like installed. As you can see here, it has a hidden design. Now, what this means is we are going to be able to see the receiver tube hanging below the bumper, but the majority of the hitch, the cross tube that is, is actually going to be tucked up behind the bumper here. So it's going to make for the best overall appearance, and it's going to give us the best ground clearance because the receiver tube is going to be tucked up right under the bumper. So if we take a closer look at the receiver tube portion of our trailer hitch here, we're going to notice a couple of things.Number one, it has a nice, shiny, black powder coated finish, which is really going to help it hold up well to rust and corrosion issues over time. more

Ryan: Hey everybody, my name's Ryan and here at etrailer we install, test fit and review a lot of different parts. That way we can try to answer any questions those of you might have. And that's exactly what we're doing today on our 2011 Ford Edge. We're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Class II Trailer Hitch Receiver. So there is a lot of different hitches available for the Edge and which one is going to work best for you really just depends on what you plan on doing with it.So in our case, since this one does have the smaller 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" opening, I think this one's going to have the best appearance because it's smaller in size so it blends in a little bit better. And this would be a great choice if you primarily just plan on using your hitch for accessories.With that being said, if you're looking to do a little bit more, maybe some towing, I would recommend a Class III Hitch, like the etrailer.com one. more

Today on pour 2018 Ford Edge we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install, the Draw Tite Class 3 Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver. Part number 75214.Of here's what our hitch looks like once we have it installed on our Edge. The cross tube is going to be visible, it is going to hang down right below the bumper. But it's going to sit back a little bit. So the main thing we're going to see is the receiver tube sticking out.It's a Class 3 hitch which means it's going to give us that 2" by 2" receiver tube opening. Speaker 1: Today in this 2013 Ford Edge, we're going to be having a look at and showing you how to install the etrailer.com class 3 trailer hitch receiver, part number E98870. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. First thing you notice about this hitch, there's plenty of clearance around our receiver, making this a great hitch to use on bike racks and cargo carriers. Now, some of the questions that we get about this hitch from our customers is if they have the hands-free lift gate assist, where you kick your foot underneath the bumper, will the hatch still open The answer to that is yes, but you will have a slightly reduced area here around the receiver.Another question we get is if the vehicle's equipped for backup sensors like this, will the backup sensors be activated when there's a bike rack or cargo carrier on the hitch Answer to that is yes. If you have a bike rack or cargo carrier and it's blocking the sensors, the sensors will go off when the vehicle is in reverse, but reverse only. When you're driving down the road like normal in drive, you don't have to worry about any warning lights on the dash or listen to the beeping noise. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 Ford Edge - Draw-Tite- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Ford Edge we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the Draw Tite Class III Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 75234. Here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. The cross tube is going to be completely hidden by the bumper, and all we're going to see is the receiver tube sticking out. It is a Class III hitch, which means it's going to give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening, which means we'll have a really wide variety of options when it comes to accessories. The way we're going to mount all of our accessories is through the larger pin hole, towards the front of the vehicle, and it is going to accept a standard five-eighths pin and clip, and while these aren't included in the kit, you can pick them up along with locking devices here at etrailer.com.If you're wondering what this secondary hole towards the receiver tube end is, that's going to be used exclusively for the J-pin stabilization device, which is Draw Tite's version of an anti-rattle, if your accessory doesn't have one.
